Teach as it was taught to you.
In the tradition of Usui, learning the practice of Reiki is through a relationship between an existing Reiki practitioner who has been initiated as a master or sensei and a student. The timeframe can vary but results in the transfer of three things, the practice of Reiki, the Reiki symbols, and the Reiki five principles. Trainings are typically verbal and conclude in an initiation.

In the tradition of Hiyashi, how Reiki continues is also the innovation each sensei brings forth into their form or branch of practice.
People learn in different ways and when we focus on providing the highest quality Reiki practitioners, we know we need to use all the teaching tools available to us today.
